Minnesota’s mechanic’s lien law includes a preliminary notice requirement applicable to prime contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers.  The preliminary notice requirement, and the exceptions to the preliminary notice requirement, are set forth in Minn. Stat. § 514.011.
